Styling for impact!Unknownnoreply@blogger.comBlogger6125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5238047704531092464.post-81111680917030246232011-11-07T10:23:00.000-06:002013-04-16T15:51:53.929-05:00Decorating for DisaasterWith the <b><i><u>Oklahoma Earthquake</u></i></b> shaking up the midwest this past weekend, I thought of various "Earthquake Preparedness Techniques" to pass along. And since the <b><i><u>Oklahoma Earthquake</u></i></b> is still shaking up things, even in the past hour, here are some helpful hints.<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
Of course it is a given, that you have already made a "Disaster Relief Kit" with such emergency items like bandages, alcohol, and toilet paper. Although I seriously do not think bandages will be of much use when the roof caves in on you, but the alcohol taken internally will. Hoarding toilet paper however, is the first stage of that dreaded disease of Hoarding so will be skipping that.<br />
<br />
Now on to the really serious issues at hand. There are a few simple steps that will help prevent any immediate<br />
loss of real property, you know, those family treasures.<br />
<br />
Simple measures like duct taping the flatscreen to the console or the plasma wall mount will save that very expensive item for certain. And now duct tape comes in so many delicious colors and patterns.<br />
<br />
We all know we hear the pictures rattle, and items start sliding off the shelves. A simple decorating technique will save those pictures, and even a freight train won't budge them off the wall.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6Z-uwrdtfupGtwAO8riR-zQHkwWVvAnqjvAeJizlUyQrLOnPOiOZJcWvRxzjZOvrC1RCuxpL1zQQhY5-aSliG8wyP8xbYy0RqFtHRFM1uPNXB1X_LhSP6tADH_voIXQ30jlSwOMGC5x4/s1600/100_2065.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6Z-uwrdtfupGtwAO8riR-zQHkwWVvAnqjvAeJizlUyQrLOnPOiOZJcWvRxzjZOvrC1RCuxpL1zQQhY5-aSliG8wyP8xbYy0RqFtHRFM1uPNXB1X_LhSP6tADH_voIXQ30jlSwOMGC5x4/s320/100_2065.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Instead of a regular nail, replace them all with these special picture hangars. Then use either twisty ties, or regular string to make loops on the backs of your pictures. This creates a swing action when the walls start to shake, and because of the special bend you did with the hangar, it will not slip off.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-5dUcUVsi3OnsajSuMe678OcXgI_4FUUcenaIehXIlGzR-Ij0PcgHHBGaUg6QxjChK4VTSD5buSF3iJosbVJyklh4RSfnxQfi8awwaPNelgfD_h6DMWtJhTdFP4X8chvqeIHhnTSH9uk/s1600/100_2072.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-5dUcUVsi3OnsajSuMe678OcXgI_4FUUcenaIehXIlGzR-Ij0PcgHHBGaUg6QxjChK4VTSD5buSF3iJosbVJyklh4RSfnxQfi8awwaPNelgfD_h6DMWtJhTdFP4X8chvqeIHhnTSH9uk/s320/100_2072.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Of course we all know that pictures hung with string will never hang straight so here is where that wonderful teacher tool comes in handy. Get some Poster Putty from WallyWorld and put a glob on the back bottom corners of the picture. Mash that into the wall and it will be much easier to straighten pictures and keep them straight.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjE0DQdjodzjgqDZVHeceCpfhbr3oeH0W1gKNzswFjgELyrKO8iPeB9J7V0nwIjNXGUwdizDmeUvhKZaGkxAL2jI8mxP23UMwjaTKa1HNIMK8oaoMDe_ONQmAeJX2_dgDdRpbV6C9iFc4/s1600/100_2069.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjE0DQdjodzjgqDZVHeceCpfhbr3oeH0W1gKNzswFjgELyrKO8iPeB9J7V0nwIjNXGUwdizDmeUvhKZaGkxAL2jI8mxP23UMwjaTKa1HNIMK8oaoMDe_ONQmAeJX2_dgDdRpbV6C9iFc4/s320/100_2069.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
Now you know the secret of every fine art museum in the country. I dare you to get up close and peep under the pictures. Why do you think they have ropes in front of the display...yep to keep you from peeping. Notice the bright blue glob behind my picture that always sits kittywampus in the kitchen because it sits on the pantry door wall. Now it never moves.<br />
<br />
Ok, so now we solved the picture problem, let's address those dainty trinkets on the shelves. Yep poster putty those to the shelf. This technique also makes dusting so much faster, just whip that cloth around stuff, because you won't tip or trash it.<br />
<br />
Now, how about those loose items, keys, pencils etc, that are laying around everywhere. Here is where dollar store trays come in handy. Strategically placed, trays, again "ticky tacky" down, will keep everything where it needs to be. The second advantage of this technique is that when you need to throw an impromptu baby shower, just grab that tray and play that "Memory Game" that everyone hates. If you are like me, you will still have some baby things on there, along with their graduation tassel, and their 9th birthday card you forgot to give them.<br />
<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6FoERbK-kzOY62XsgkIkjGXCvckrDiwyb8K-c3Zig7YPiPleBMvjWi1QoFa5GShg3wWzfDGCfYxmEpU92C3unbgvt73B9OS_MTrU9fhi5s-wkgrWdPWn3qYTge9Fj3WOmVZd8pu-eQI8/s1600/100_2062.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6FoERbK-kzOY62XsgkIkjGXCvckrDiwyb8K-c3Zig7YPiPleBMvjWi1QoFa5GShg3wWzfDGCfYxmEpU92C3unbgvt73B9OS_MTrU9fhi5s-wkgrWdPWn3qYTge9Fj3WOmVZd8pu-eQI8/s320/100_2062.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I have been wanting some<strike> stunning </strike> economical bookcases in several of my rooms. Puddling through storage tubs is getting old, and I am guessing that since we have been here for 5 years, most likely we will stay put. My mentor over at <a href="httpp://www.sawdustandpaperscraps.com/">Sawdustandpaperscraps</a> made some gorgeous built-in bookcases which I have always admired.<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
I do have some limitations however, one being, I do not have a Big Orange Box Store nearby, and I don't have all the fancy tools that she has (que Santa music here). So while <strike>surfing </strike>sludging on the internet, due to our prehistoric service, I found someone who started with cheapo WallyWorld bookcases and trimmed them out beautifully.<br />
<br />
Thus, my adventure began. With my PoolBoy, I was able to assemble the double high bookcases, and plaster those suckas to the wall, to prevent any future tipping. Levels, LONG screws, and muscles were definitely needed here.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimdJTSlvEAlcikrtSL5ksyq0xvMyAwprBshsOFA8DpxDtudmFFrr70K9rAHSTHrztnEAiN9J5yyfqEkycJWGJ-6cD7haR4RZW-gKlN7YNhyphenhyphenOG7Og1HbdnGPuvOyqowdN2BCtMxrSfVZmk/s1600/100_2063.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimdJTSlvEAlcikrtSL5ksyq0xvMyAwprBshsOFA8DpxDtudmFFrr70K9rAHSTHrztnEAiN9J5yyfqEkycJWGJ-6cD7haR4RZW-gKlN7YNhyphenhyphenOG7Og1HbdnGPuvOyqowdN2BCtMxrSfVZmk/s320/100_2063.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
With some minor tricks of the trade, I was able to hide accidental accidents, and paint the trim. I used MDF trim, did I say that is the greatest invention since the dishwasher?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkJIGLvAfLq07_j2ju1chN0d0Z1o8NyfEKY82Oe1ukcb8Hwm0Mo12hjZ_2GIIBUw0im4F7sURCXyKEEYNz6sYMjwgSq3eL1JVxquFSNu0U4ggYl31ZEqpRZPtTwCwbMykoqpS-jNGMc9w/s1600/100_2064.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkJIGLvAfLq07_j2ju1chN0d0Z1o8NyfEKY82Oe1ukcb8Hwm0Mo12hjZ_2GIIBUw0im4F7sURCXyKEEYNz6sYMjwgSq3eL1JVxquFSNu0U4ggYl31ZEqpRZPtTwCwbMykoqpS-jNGMc9w/s320/100_2064.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I truly wanted sophisticated, technically correct, crown moulding on the top, however due to calculations beyond my control, I just cut and slapped it up there. Of course, it helped that my DDIL (darling daughter in law) went to the BlueGray Store with me and convinced me to buy these absolutely fabulous Texas star corner blocks.<br />
<br />
To accommodate the bottom trim, I did need to attach the bottom shelf 3 inches higher than it called for. My mentor friend just pops hers onto a 2 x 4 base, which is what I will do with the next sets...yes there are more to come.<br />
<br />
The bottom half will eventually have doors on them, hence the extra shelf trim, but for now, and since they aren't truly square, "just a smidge", I am settling for what I have. At least the storage tubs are gone.<br />
<br />
Thanks to the constant encouragement from <a href="http://www.sawdustandpaperscraps.com/">Sawdustandpaperscraps</a><br />

Adding this to her Linky PartyUnknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5238047704531092464.post-38830805928173334792010-09-07T15:47:00.001-05:002013-04-16T15:52:55.472-05:00Easy Glam PinI fell in love with this lovely pin from <strong>Newport News</strong>, and decided to come up with a similar look within my budget.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9xNBHidQz7ap55Bi8MfoNwM838HGpNfJ6_JJ6vzC-jENn5JOJjdKSM-oLjQeFopzQV2GgV_WfaicJYUSVsL3YuLWrGx0aNa_FBBg3PQvCxiaDWY9dOibpW8_JQb-Q1JxGk-9cbt1tiI0/s1600/100_1585.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" ox="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9xNBHidQz7ap55Bi8MfoNwM838HGpNfJ6_JJ6vzC-jENn5JOJjdKSM-oLjQeFopzQV2GgV_WfaicJYUSVsL3YuLWrGx0aNa_FBBg3PQvCxiaDWY9dOibpW8_JQb-Q1JxGk-9cbt1tiI0/s320/100_1585.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
Here are the directions to making this simple little glam pin:<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgd1BOXyDNDtPT9s7ntqLoE2lZJwb4mRvLWqUYkdPu5WRGXdplscIVj8bJwQTIEREqflG9vRoU2S5ndSMsQDyv-LYYQYQ5wczc-TXdV0KhucJSgWjvt1Umi6Pp8fL3kQ2cOBd7T14b35Kw/s1600/100_1589.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" ox="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgd1BOXyDNDtPT9s7ntqLoE2lZJwb4mRvLWqUYkdPu5WRGXdplscIVj8bJwQTIEREqflG9vRoU2S5ndSMsQDyv-LYYQYQ5wczc-TXdV0KhucJSgWjvt1Umi6Pp8fL3kQ2cOBd7T14b35Kw/s320/100_1589.JPG" width="298" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
Supplies:<br />
1 square of black felt<br />
E600 glue and Tacky glue<br />
various faceted flat backed beads<br />
7/8" black Grograin ribbon<br />
glue on pin backs<br />
Optional dangle bead for accent<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Step 1<br />
Cut a 3 inch circle and a 1.5" circle out of the black felt<br />
Cut 3 pieces of ribbon 4.5" long<br />
Cut 9 pieces of ribbon 5" long<br />
Cut 1 piece of ribbon 10" long<br />
Cut 2 pieces of ribbon 9" long<br />
<br />
<br />
Lay out your ribbon design on the large felt circle, pinning as you go to get the look you want.<br />
Start with an even design at the top using the 5" pieces of ribbon,<br />
and cascade the longer lengths at the bottom. Using the 10" as the focal length<br />
and then setting the two9" long ones to one side so it angles up.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-KikjOMFQhjAa7uYrUiseRBEFA7k5LMTbBcgPjvFqTLsVQjotBTz80JnG3Mj9_LDnFP0lMRG7mH8XLDCOU3-bY_hJ1SOLcrABHB4HIE4dK4MHwTKPbimPmCWvLxdVr6vOWlX8ecAiTOw/s1600/100_1591.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" ox="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-KikjOMFQhjAa7uYrUiseRBEFA7k5LMTbBcgPjvFqTLsVQjotBTz80JnG3Mj9_LDnFP0lMRG7mH8XLDCOU3-bY_hJ1SOLcrABHB4HIE4dK4MHwTKPbimPmCWvLxdVr6vOWlX8ecAiTOw/s320/100_1591.JPG" width="298" /></a></div>
<div style="border: currentColor;">
<br /></div>
<div style="border: currentColor;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<br />
When you are happy with the design, Tacky glue the ribbon down. <br />
With the 4.5" lengths of ribbon, glue them on top of the 9" ones creating a bit of <br />
contrast in size here and there.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="border: currentColor; clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiX9us_FN3_eeBJN247l2Ajg_89ivWPgXGn1bdZRa83fG1iVflQMhsgeTJQOCUaVI9sHYfDaVgqmqtACSPCQ3zMW1cwgi1Y1QQdTYZOmN14d4A1OSIJyh_iaKMBR5Rtq13UQoWWbbl5oyo/s1600/100_1593.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" ox="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiX9us_FN3_eeBJN247l2Ajg_89ivWPgXGn1bdZRa83fG1iVflQMhsgeTJQOCUaVI9sHYfDaVgqmqtACSPCQ3zMW1cwgi1Y1QQdTYZOmN14d4A1OSIJyh_iaKMBR5Rtq13UQoWWbbl5oyo/s320/100_1593.JPG" width="298" /></a></div>
<div style="border: currentColor;">
<br /></div>
<div style="border: currentColor;">
<br /></div>
<br />
Now glue the smaller circle on top of these ribbon ends to create a base for your beads.<br />
Lay out your bead design until you are happy, Tacky glue them down.<br />
<br />
Glue pin back to the upper one third of back with E6000 glue.<br />
Oh yea, use this glue in a well ventelated place, or it's magaurita time without the drinks :)<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhcT_fPZQh7azGvxcJvr61iQCciO5Y6Nuw-M-RKYfdZq-Qtm3JXXuuPXz5Svk_Ie836ZkvWbZe5eZf5kHJ_O8BzmuNmpSR-9G6-HkQ8584MUTtNrN45IWgkT4Jeg5ot5uobdM0320IaZy0/s1600/100_1595.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ox="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhcT_fPZQh7azGvxcJvr61iQCciO5Y6Nuw-M-RKYfdZq-Qtm3JXXuuPXz5Svk_Ie836ZkvWbZe5eZf5kHJ_O8BzmuNmpSR-9G6-HkQ8584MUTtNrN45IWgkT4Jeg5ot5uobdM0320IaZy0/s320/100_1595.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
An optional design would be to use a fancy heirloom pin for the center instead of glueing on the gems.<br />
<br />
You may do this same design, without the pin back, and attatch to a headband for that special hair accessory.<br />
<br />
I am planning on making some red ones for my Red Hat Ladies, and some pink ones for some teens I know. These make awesome inexpesive but glamourous pins, which are all the rage right now. And with the Holidays coming, this is a fun project for simple gifts for everyone.<br />
<br />
<br />
Happy Crafting!<br />
<br />

When I moved into my newly purchased trailer, it came with no <strong>towel bars</strong> or hooks. It is a double wide, and therefore came with a master suite complete with spa tub. Although I would have rather had more storage or vanity space, alas, they would not remove the spa tub. <a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
Being the DIY Queen of Everything Simple, I am doing this simple project for The September Party over at <a href="http://diyclubinc.com/">DIYCLUBINC.com</a><br />
<br />
<br />
<div align="center">
<a href="http://diyclubinc.com/" title="DIY Club"><img alt="DIY Club" height="125" src="http://diyclubinc.com/wp-content/uploads/diy-club-button.png" width="125" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
My idea for my master suite bath was to give it a beachy theme in memory of all the Christmas Vacations we have taken over the years to the beach. I have many beach and ocean decor, so thought this would be the perfect venue to showcase these trinkets. <br />
<br />
My delima started when I began looking for <strong>towel bars</strong>, they were simple, non descript, except for the few "shell" design ones.Yuck! I was perusing the summer flip flop isle at my fav local Wally World. Wonder if corporate knows everyone calls them that? <br />
<br />
Anyway, it dawned on me that with a simple hook, I could turn these cutie childrens flip flops into hooks and use these instead of <strong>towel bars</strong>. My inspiration also came from Darling Daughter who showed me this adorable needlework she is doing for my spa bath....a cross stitched lineup of kid flip flops. When she finishes it, I have the perfect spot for it! Hint, hint.<br />

Back to the flip flops. I bought 3 pair, some white hooks, and my fave of all <strong>Gorilla Glue</strong>. The mother of all glues. Use it sparingly, it has a tendency to e-x-p-a-n-d and make a goopy glob.<br />
<br />
<br />

I glued the hook to the flip flop, for extra stability, then screwed the whole thing to the wall. Easy Peasy, Simple as dimples!<br />
<br />
Thanks! Gorilla Glue!<br />

I have always loved the style of office chair I once saw in the movie "Holiday" which was in Cameron Diaz's home office. It is a white leather elegant chair that fit nicely with her office decor. The simple lines of this Zuo Lider No Arm White Office Chair with chrome accents defines the design of a modern yet comfortable office. This chair is very similar and would work perfectly in my new office.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<iframe frameborder="0" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" scrolling="no" src="http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?lt1=_blank&bc1=FFFFFF&IS2=1&nou=1&bg1=FFFFFF&fc1=000000&lc1=0000FF&t=disciplinedpa-20&o=1&p=8&l=as1&m=amazon&f=ifr&asins=B003BVJ6E6" style="height: 240px; width: 120px;"></iframe><br />
<br />
But alas, I have put that on my wish list, but until I can get it, I decided to "make do". <a name='more'></a><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
I bought a simple office chair on sale at Walmart. It is adjustable, fairly comfortable, but sadly very BROWN. Since I really wanted a <strong>white office chair</strong> for my new home office, I decided to simply recover it. <br />
<br />
Using some leftover white flannel from another project, I carefully pinned the top piece onto the chair for fitting, cutting off the excess fabric. <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFMR4DMrGFAuZs6YxS9BbMZdDjl0xtgc9pUcwjGUzWOj6S0HPYCRxEzCVXBNVDTkiMBH76_pyEGXsguwVVn2FCxTVjUk4eyTNdJla7D0uHhY3NWacstNMF5nsSpf5cddVINM3vgvovIRM/s1600/office+chair+back1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" ox="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFMR4DMrGFAuZs6YxS9BbMZdDjl0xtgc9pUcwjGUzWOj6S0HPYCRxEzCVXBNVDTkiMBH76_pyEGXsguwVVn2FCxTVjUk4eyTNdJla7D0uHhY3NWacstNMF5nsSpf5cddVINM3vgvovIRM/s320/office+chair+back1.JPG" width="256" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I then sewed the top and edges along the pin lines. After turning it right side out, and placing it on the seat back, I then pinned again, cutting the excess away. Here I did handstitching to finish the top cover.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggVKUFC4k99GdXG2g6wBE6AsUdXiTQKEHPvCbOBNVBBZkDWpS-dMnyuf9DUBmb1dp1c3YPdIFR6bUOPU6U27dOgAA5VP6iKriRnQHEV024WNy3jILSnFXDtrmjruthC0RPUQAwmdc2gAM/s1600/office+chair+back2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" ox="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggVKUFC4k99GdXG2g6wBE6AsUdXiTQKEHPvCbOBNVBBZkDWpS-dMnyuf9DUBmb1dp1c3YPdIFR6bUOPU6U27dOgAA5VP6iKriRnQHEV024WNy3jILSnFXDtrmjruthC0RPUQAwmdc2gAM/s320/office+chair+back2.JPG" width="256" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
For the bottom cover I measured with enough excess to fold over under the seat and make a casing. Using string for a drawstring, it made the seat fit tightly, and also made it removeable for cleaning if needed. <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQaM5ey62FsfXJCV5i-lwxIS-ev9_lByGsK2anlT2rIeRYND83QVcOCaoZvNFaAZ8QrJTMzQltevXvr4VFf2OojIPFyJTkaAD29-TmvvhilL-NiIJFWXhK7yoeitpQGXkaD4lHPVQiZLs/s1600/office+chair+bottom.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" ox="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQaM5ey62FsfXJCV5i-lwxIS-ev9_lByGsK2anlT2rIeRYND83QVcOCaoZvNFaAZ8QrJTMzQltevXvr4VFf2OojIPFyJTkaAD29-TmvvhilL-NiIJFWXhK7yoeitpQGXkaD4lHPVQiZLs/s320/office+chair+bottom.JPG" width="256" /></a></div>
<br />
I haven't decided whether or not to paint the black parts of the chair. My choices would be metallic silver, or glossy red. Will put that off for another day. Still need to get the feel of my new <strong>white office chair</strong>.<br />

If we had the fortune to have a fortune, this would be a simple task. However, I am sure you, like me, have limited resources, and the thought of purchasing a new sofa at the tune of $5,000 sends shivers up your spine. </span><br />
